How is anyone supposed to contact you if all your “Get in Touch” buttons are playing hide-and-seek? If someone has to scroll endlessly or squint to find where to book, buy, or inquire, they’ll probably just leave (and never return). Your call-to-action (CTA) buttons should be obvious, clear, and easy to click. Use strong, action-driven text—“Book Your Spot” or “Get Started Today” is way better than a vague “Learn More.” And please, for the love of conversions, make sure the buttons actually work.
When someone lands on your site, they should instantly get what you do. No detective work required. If your homepage is a jumble of fancy words but doesn’t clearly say what you offer, who it’s for, and why you’re awesome, that’s a problem. Potential clients don’t have time to dig through paragraphs of fluff.
The fix? A clear, simple headline that sums up your business in one sentence. Example: “Helping Coaches & Creatives Build Stunning Showit Websites That Convert.” Boom—now people know exactly what you do.
Some people like to stalk—I mean, research—before buying. They want to check out your work, read reviews, and see if you’re actually active online. Others just find it easier to DM on Instagram instead of filling out a boring contact form. If your social links are missing, you’re making it harder for potential clients to connect with you.
Make sure your social media icons are visible, preferably in the header and footer. And don’t just slap them on there—make sure they actually link to active, updated profiles. Nothing says “I might not be in business anymore” like a dead Instagram page.
People don’t like reading (source: my own laziness). We process visuals way faster than text, so your site needs to look good at first glance. If your site is full of pixelated, awkwardly cropped, or just plain bad photos, it’s not doing you any favors.
Upgrade your visuals with high-quality images that actually reflect your brand. If you’re using stock photos, choose ones that feel authentic, not those cringy corporate handshake images. And if you’re showcasing your work, make sure the images are high resolution and properly sized for web (no one likes waiting for huge, slow-loading files).
If Google can’t find you, neither can your potential clients. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) might sound intimidating, but it’s crucial. If your website isn’t showing up when people search for what you offer, you’re basically invisible.
Quick SEO fixes:
Make sure your site loads fast (Google hates slow sites, and so do visitors)
Use keywords people actually search for in your site’s copy.
Write a compelling meta description (the little blurb that shows up on Google).

A visually appealing website is just the beginning. To maximize conversions, ensure your CTAs are clear, your messaging is concise, and your website is easy to navigate. Small improvements in design, functionality, and SEO can significantly enhance user experience and drive more client engagement.
